Exchange 2003 SP2 to Provide Anti-Spam Enhancements

Exchange 2003 SP2 will include a number of new anti-spam features as part of Microsoft's ongoing commitment to combat spam.

The new features will include:

  • Connection Filtering new algorithm for use with servers located inside the network perimeter for resolving Internet IP addresses
  • Recipient filtering of recipients not included in Active Directory now includes an anti-harvesting mechanism so that spam senders will not be able to discover internal directory information.
  • IMF SmartScreen anti-spam technology becomes an integral part of Exchange.
  • Anti-Phishing technology added to IMF. For more information about Anti-Phising go here : http://www.antiphishing.org
  • Filter messages by using words lists. This feature will be file based  and will not be included in the GUI.
  • Customizable NDR response when blocking messages with IMF
  • SenderID Filtering
