Microsoft said it was delaying the launch of an updated version of its Office software to the end of this year as it works to improve the package of business applications. My own field testing though shows that Office 2007 is actually in a better state than Windows Vista. I am expecting both of these packages to be sold at Christmas which makes sense marketingwise.
Outlook 2007, a part of the suite, will be have some nice automation options such as automatic Exchange server discovery. These are long overdue and for now will not be avaialble to previous verious versions of Outlook.
