Winner in Exchange Anti Spam Solution Category of Readers’ Choice Awards: GFI MailEssentials

July 21st 2005 – GFI MailEssentials was selected the winner in the Exchange Anti Spam Solution category of the MSExchange.org Readers’ Choice Awards. Symantec Mail Security and Sybari Advanced Spam Manager were runner-up and first runner-up respectively.

The last Readers’ Choice poll carried out for Exchange anti spam solutions was taken in November 2003. Almost two years have passed and the results and products have changed drastically. Although GFI MailEssentials has gotten the majority of votes again, the other anti spam solutions have narrowed the gap from the top spot. A number of new products added to the list this year have done remarkably well, such as Symantec Mail Security coming in second place. The voting was quite varied since there are so many anti spam solutions on the market, with a high proportion of votes going to the Other category. See the full results of the previous Readers' Choice for Exchange Anti Spam solution.

Regular polls are conducted to discover which product is preferred by Exchange administrators in a particular category of third party solutions for Microsoft Exchange Server. The awards draw a huge response per category and are based entirely on the visitors’ votes. MSExchange.org users can submit their votes for the current Readers' Award poll in the site’s left-hand bar.
