March 14, 2006 - CommVault Galaxy Backup by Matthew Spencer, Product Rating: 5/5: I have been working with this product for 4+ years now and have gone through the various versions of this product and have seen all the new features and improvements CommVault is always committed to make. This is the absolute best product I have ever worked with; it offers a single point of management and a single point of view. All backup and restore management, backup and restore statuses, and all events are on one screen and nicely organized. There is no need to switch between the different windows to view a log or event or to perform a restore or backup. Everything is accessible from within a right click of a mouse.

CommVault has the ability to restore all AD objects even to the user account level. You can restore a single attribute, a phone number field within a user object if you wanted. Also have Data Archiving solution for Exchange (equivilant to KVS), data replication and mirroring for disaster and recovery, Bare Metal Restores from a bootable CD, utilitzes VSS in Windows 2003, ability to backup Oracle and SQL or any other database while in online mode, works on Windows, Unix, Linux and other OS platforms, SAN, NAS, etc. Very easy to use and implement; backups and restores are fast, reliable, and never had any problems with it. Their technical support is very good, great turn around, great support for Oracle and Unix as well as Windows. I would definitely recommend this product over any other product.
February 28, 2005 - Great Product by Mike, Product Rating: 5/5: Easy to use. This product is made for Enterprise backup. If you don't have more than one Exchange server forget about it. Backups are quick and painless. I've been using it for 3+ years and after a small learning curve, it blows Veritas or any other backup solution away.
