Comments for Replay for Exchange

Replay for Exchange Listing updated: June 22, 2007

Replay continuously captures block level changes on the Exchange server’s disk volumes, and stores them on a Windows 2003 Server with any type of attached storage. These point in time recovery points are then presented in a Windows mountable format. This allows the recovery points to be browsed and accessed off line. Additionally Replay mounts off-line storage groups, dynamically checking them for data store corruption, as well as making them available for point and click recovery of the entire data store, or individual messages, folders, mailboxes, and databases.

July 9, 2007 - WOW!!! by Jim Hann, Product Rating: 5/5
I've been in IT for 15 years. I've used just about every enterprise backup solution out there. I downloaded a copy of Replay, loaded it on my test servers, and in 5 minutes, know that I found the best recovery tools on the market. It allows me to load the software and configure it in less than 5 minutes. I rolled back to a previous snapshot with a simple click of the mouse. After reading the docs, I also learned that I could mount a snapshot or an EDB file and browse it like I was looking at Outlook... select messages, and restore them instantly. The last test is an old EDB file I had from 2 years ago. Nothing out there had been able to fix this file as it suffered catastrophic corruption. Replay read and fixed the file. It blew me away. My favorite feature was the fact that I could recover the entire server from an image, and have my users access the entire store while the recovery goes on in the background. Buy this product!!!
