GFI MailArchiver for Exchange Listing updated: February 22, 2008

GFI MailArchiver – which ships at an unbeatable price and offers unparalleled performance – is an email archiving & email management solution for Exchange (and other mail servers) with auditing functionality that is easy to install and requires very little administrative effort.

It eliminates the pains of PST file management by allowing administrators to automatically archive emails to SQL or directly to NTSF. Users themselves can access past email via a web-based search interface and have the ability to quickly restore emails through a OneClick Restore process, without the administrator’s assistance.

All email is stored in a central location that is easily accessible using a web browser and the PST migration tool ensures access to emails stored in old PST files on users’ machines. Using the auditing functionality, management can also access any email that is requested for eDiscovery/compliance purposes and guarantee that these emails have not been tampered with.

A free, fully functional, 30-day trial is available for download on our website. Purchase GFI MailArchiver at permanently reduced pricing!

Symantec Backup Exec for Windows Servers Listing updated: September 26, 2007

Symantec Backup Exec 11d for Windows Servers provides granular protection for a wide variety of applications including Microsoft SQL and Exchange with key agents.

Symantec Backup Exec Agent for Exchange Server - A technology to protect vital Exchange Server 5.5, 2000 and 2003 data while the application is online. This agent provides full or incremental, or differential backup and restore of embedded objects, attributes, and all Outlook components. Restore can automatically mount the Exchange database upon completion of a restore job, which ensures a valid database is brought back online quickly. Use of the Single Instance Storage feature eliminates backup of duplicate information by storing only the first instance of attachments distributed to multiple mailboxes.

For Microsoft Windows Exchange 2003 Server support, the mailbox or message level restores from a full traditional backup does not require installation of a separate Exchange 2003 server. When running on Microsoft Windows Server 2003, the Backup Exec Agent for Exchange Server has added support for Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Volume Snapshot (VSS) technology enabling the user to select either the VERITAS or the Microsoft proprietary frozen image technology for protecting open files. The agent provides the ability to perform consistency check before backup when using Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service.

Replay for Exchange Listing updated: June 22, 2007

Replay continuously captures block level changes on the Exchange server’s disk volumes, and stores them on a Windows 2003 Server with any type of attached storage. Additionally Replay mounts off-line storage groups, dynamically checking them for data store corruption, as well as making them available for point and click recovery of the entire data store, or individual messages, folders, mailboxes, and databases.
