Lousy interface and reporting
by Dan Rollins,
Product Rating: 2/5
- When they moved from Version 7 to 8, they instituted an HTML interface that required Apache in to be installed. The interface is maddingly slow at the console, even worse when logged in remotely (Terminal Services). When assigning computers to groups, it wouldn't save my credentals even though I clicked the box.
Reporting is worthless. My Exchange server routinely receives emails with viruses. I can look at the local E-Trust console and see they were caught and quarantined. However, the admin console never showed them in the domain logs. This is unacceptable.
We are dropping E-Trust and moving to a competitor. I can control and maintain the system far better than E-Trust allows. Catching the viruses isn't enough in a corporate enviroment. The administrator must be aware of what is happening.

Not customizable at all. Look for a better virus scanner...
by Jeff Wiens,
Product Rating: 2/5
- Not happy with this product. We've used it for several years. It works ok but you have very little control over the options. It doesn't scan mail with invalid receipients before bouncing the mail back.

Wouldn't Change!
by Melissa Stowe,
Product Rating: 5/5
- I've used this product on my Exchange 5.5 server, and now my Exchange 2003 server, for almost four years. Been very well behaved - attachment moving problem seems to be alleviated under 2003/eTrust Antivirus 7 - and haven't had any infections in my network that came in through email. What more could I expect?

Works well
by Keith Jones,
Product Rating: 4/5
- I've been running this software on Exchange 5.5, and have had very little problem with it. The only problem has been that sometimes individual users cannot move items with attachments from their inbox. Anyone used it with Exchange 2003?
